Lots of choices to make at running back.
Should I drop these fantasy RBs? Outlooks for Joe Mixon, Aaron Jones, Rhamondre Stevenson, Isiah Pacheco originally appeared on The Sporting News
The running back position used to be such a stable fantasy football spot.
Now, it's hard to predict what's going to happen at RB each season, and don't even try to predict it week to week.
The inconsistency leads to managers wanting to make drastic decisions just to find some juice from their imaginary backfield, but sometimes, it's better to play it a little safe.
Four players that are likely on minds this week ahead of waiver wire pickups are these potential drop candidates: Joe Mixon, Aaron Jones, Rhamondre Stevenson and Isiah Pacheco. But if you're looking to shake it up, maybe slow down a tad.

Should I drop Joe Mixon in fantasy?
If your league has IR spots and Mixon can go there, utilize that.
But otherwise, Mixon is OK to drop.
His injury is kind of mysterious, so don't rush to drop him. But the mystery makes it seem like he won't be back soon from an offseason ankle problem that no one has really specified more about.
Mixon could also eventually return to a backfield that Woody Marks appears to have taken over, so his role wouldn't be guaranteed either.
Should I drop Aaron Jones in fantasy?
No, don't drop Aaron Jones in fantasy.
He'll still get double-digit touches each week once he returns from injury, and he's too talented at too thin a position to get rid of.
Utilize your IR spot if your league lets you, but even not, Jones isn't out long enough to cut ties with.

Should I drop Rhamondre Stevenson in fantasy?
No, don't drop Rhamondre Stevenson in fantasy.
This is a tricky backfield with TreVeyon Henderson and Antonio Gibson also around, but Stevenson led the Pats in first-half snaps at RB before the blowout on Sunday made the later-game snaps less informative.
He's not always an easy start given the shared workload, but he's also not unreliable enough to drop.
Should I drop Isiah Pacheco in fantasy?
No, you probably shouldn't drop Isiah Pacheco in fantasy.
This mostly comes down to situation. Pacheco remains in a good offense, and he remains without anyone better around him to really knock him out of a role.
He hasn't been as exciting as some hoped for this season, but Pacheco still has talent, still catches passes and still has Patrick Mahomes on his side.
At a RB position that simply doesn't have enough depth for fantasy managers, Pacheco still has way too much going for him to drop.
