The Cleveland Browns had another putrid offensive performance this past week, losing 34-10 to the Detroit Lions.

Quarterback Joe Flacco had a rough day at the office, completing 16 of 34 passes for 184 yards, no touchdowns, and two interceptions. Rookie Dillon Gabriel was inserted late in the fourth quarter for the second time this season.

But when will the former Oregon standout get a chance to start? Flacco has looked rough through four games, and fans and analysts alike are wondering when head coach Kevin Stefanski will pull the plug on the 40-year-old.

Browns Insider Predicts When Dillon Gabriel Will Start

Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com predicted that the Browns will pivot to Gabriel as soon as this week, with a matchup against the Minnesota Vikings on deck in London, England.

"Coming off their embarrassing 34-10 loss to the Lions, the Browns need to jumpstart their turnover-and-drop-prone offense, and Gabriel can provide the spark. On Monday, Kevin Stefanski declined to commit to Flacco for the Vikings game, and that’s as it should be. It’s time for a change to see if the 1-3 season can still be salvaged, and one appears imminent," wrote Cabot.

If Gabriel does get the nod, he has a tall task ahead of him. The Vikings defense is no joke; they currently rank as the No. 1 defense in the NFL, forcing a -.017 EPA per play.

But the Browns need to do something, as they are currently circling the drain in an AFC North that's up for grabs, with a Joe Burrow-less Cincinnati Bengals team and an injury-riddled Baltimore Ravens roster.

If the former Oregon Duck can come in and stabilize the offense, Cleveland's defense is good enough for them to win games, and they could still turn their season around.
