Gennadiy Golovkin leads IBHOF 2026 ballot

“GGG”, Vernon Forrest, and Steve Collins are eligible to join boxing’s Hall of Fame next year

The International Boxing Hall of Fame (IBHOF) has sent out the ballots for its class of 2026, including three new first-timers each on the men’s and women’s modern ballots.

The former side features longtime middleweight champion Gennadiy “GGG” Golovkin, two-division titlist Vernon Forrest, and Irish great Steve Collins. On the latter, we’ve got five-division champ Naoko Fujioka, long-reigning super welterweight and middleweight titlist Christina Hammer, and Mexican trailblazer Jackie Nava.

Notable non-combatants on the ballot include Jimmy Glenn, Steve Weisfeld, and Steve Bunce.

Going by previous years, we can expect a final list of inductees in December; that gives us two months to foment the most toxic discourse we can muster. The previous class saw Manny Pacquiao make the cut in his first year of eligibility alongside monster puncher Anne Sophie Mathis, Michael Nunn, and more.
