Brentford's Igor Thiago has been nominated for September's Premier League Goal of the Month, for his first strike against Manchester United in the Bees' 3-1 win.
Thiago latched on to Jordan Henderson’s lofted pass before racing away from Harry Maguire and blasting the ball into the top corner via the inside of the post.
On the goal, Thiago commented: "I've been in this situation so many times in my career but, today, I was watching a video when someone was saying, 'You need to fail to become great'.
"I've had so many times when I've been one-v-one with the goalkeeper like this and I'd miss - but, now, in the Premier League, I scored!"
Thiago is now on four Premier League goals this season, a tally only bettered by Manchester City striker Erling Haaland.
Thiago has been nominated alongside Arsenal's Martin Zubimendi (v Nottingham Forest), Tottenham's Lucas Bergvall (v West Ham), Liverpool's Ryan Gravenberch (v Everton), Leeds's Anton Stach (v Wolves), Crystal Palace's Tyrick Mitchell (v West Ham), Arsenal's Gabriel Martinelli (v Manchester City) and Fulham's Harry Wilson (v Brentford).
Voting closes on Monday 6 October at midday. The winner will be announced on Friday 10 October at 1pm.
