ESPN's "College GameDay" will be attending an SEC game in Week 6 of the 2025 college football season
America's favorite college football pregame show, ESPN's "College GameDay" will be at University of Alabama for the No. 17 Vanderbilt Commodores at No. 11 Alabama Crimson Tide game in Week 6. This will be GameDay's first trip to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, since Alabama's Sept. 28, 2024 game against the Georgia Bulldogs.
GameDay elected to attend the Alabama-Vanderbilt game over several other great games including No. 3 Miami at No. 19 Florida State, which is the only other ranked matchup in Week 6. Other top Week 6 college football games include Texas at Florida, Texas Tech at Houston and Kentucky at Georgia.
Last week, GameDay picked the Oregon at Penn State game, which ended up being a double overtime thriller that Oregon won 30-24. Georgia football fans weren't happy the Georgia-Alabama game got snubbed last week. To make things worse, Georgia lost and GameDay is attending the Alabama game this week. Now, Georgia fans will have to wait and hope that GameDay comes to town for the Ole Miss or Texas game.
Kirk Herbstreit, Rece Davis, Nick Saban, Desmond Howard and Pat McAfee serve as college football analysts for GameDay.
GameDay's coverage will begin at 9 a.m. ET on Saturday, Oct. 4, from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and will be televised on ESPN. The Alabama-Vanderbilt game kicks off at 3:30 p.m. ET and will be televised on ABC.

College GameDay 2025 locations
- Week 1: Texas at Ohio State
- Week 2: Michigan at Oklahoma
- Week 3: Georgia at Tennessee
- Week 4: Florida at Miami
- Week 5: Oregon at Penn State
- Week 6: Vanderbilt at Alabama
Where will GameDay go in Week 7?
Ohio State at Illinois, Alabama at Missouri and Georgia at Auburn all project to be good matchups in Week 7. However, we think GameDay will decide between a pair of potential top-10 matchups. No. 8 Oklahoma plays No. 7 Texas in the Cotton Bowl and No. 9 Indiana plays at No. 2 Oregon. We think GameDay will pick the Indiana-Oregon game because Oklahoma's starting quarterback, John Mateer is hurt with a hand injury.
