A rumour which has been doing the rounds for a while finally has the Fabrizio Romano seal of approval.
Kenan Yildiz has had a great start to the season with Juventus, and the Italian giants are keen to tie him down to a new contract.

“I can tell you that Juventus, the management, are optimistic about eventually reaching an agreement [with Yildiz],” Romano said on his Italian Youtube channel, quoted by CaughtOffside.
“I believe Juve wants to avoid finding themselves in a situation where Yildiz could receive a very significant offer from abroad and say, ‘OK, but my salary is low, I’d rather go somewhere else.’
“He’s shown great perseverance so far with his performances, but also during the summer. If Yildiz had wanted to go to the Premier League, I assure you he could have gone there at the start of the transfer window.
“Chelsea has always been very interested, and the Premier League’s interest remains because Yildiz is a fantastic player, so it’s normal to see the big clubs paying attention.”
Chelsea on the outside – unless contract falls through
We’ve made our thoughts on the Yildiz rumours very clear before – we don’t think Chelsea are going to be in for him simply because he’s already going to be out of their price range.
His talent and age are perfect – but the Blues are avoiding buying players at the peak of their value, and it feels like Yildiz is in that situation. Of course, if his contract gets towards the end and his price comes down, anything is possible.
However, at this rate it feels like the 20 year old is inclined to sign on in Turin and continue his impressive development there. Chelsea are just being used to put the price up.
