The Chelsea hierarchy are really impressed with how Enzo Maresca is getting the best out of Reece James again according to reports.
The Englishman has been plagued by injury issues over the past few seasons, but since his latest return from a hamstring injury in January he’s managed to stay fit.
This current injury free period is the longest James has managed to remain fit in quite some time and is a huge plus for Maresca and Chelsea.
Enzo Maresca getting the best out of Reece James
Chelsea have been very careful with their captain since he returned from injury, and Maresca has managed his minutes very carefully.
The 25-year-old has often found himself on the bench, and has also been deployed in midfield on a number of occasions as it’s less demanding on his body.
Playing the England international in midfield was often criticised by supporters last season, but both player and club are now reaping the rewards for the careful management.

In defeats to Manchester United and Brighton he was seen getting up and down the right hand side like he’d done in the past, and assisted Trevoh Chalobah’s goal against the Red Devils.
The Chelsea captain is now very much back to his best, and journalist Graeme Bailey has revealed the hierarchy are impressed by how Maresca has got James back to his best.
“Look what he [Maresca] has done with Reece James,” he said as quoted on X.com.
“He is again being regarded as the best right-back in England and what I would say to that is let’s not underestimate what Maresca has done for him.
“I think this Chelsea system, it doesn’t suit any player more than Reece James, and I think that passes people by.
Chelsea hierarchy impressed with Maresca
Supporters have certainly noticed how he’s looking back to his best, and it’s something the Chelsea hierarchy are impressed by.
“But it hasn’t passed the Chelsea hierarchy by that as we know as he’s not just picking Reece James.
