Orlando Pirates head coach is unfazed by the Buc,.anners’ poor record in the League Cup ahead of their clash against Siwelele FC at Orlando Stadium on Saturday.
The Soweto giants have been pitted against the newly rebranded Betway Premiership outfit in the round of 16.
Pirates last lifted the League Cup in the 2011/12 season under the tutelage of Brazilian mentor Julio Cesar Leal.
With the Sea Robbers’ elimination in the first round in thecampaign, Ouaddou is intent on carving his own path despite acknowledging it won’t be a walk in the park.
“What happened before, for me I was not there. So, for me it’s to focus on the future and to try with the players to do well,” said the Bucs mentor.
‘We know it will not be easy [to win], every competition is difficult, and every team definitely wants to win that competition that is very important in South Africa.
“So, for us it’s another game – another opportunity for my players to give their best and to try to go through that [last 16] stage.
