FC Barcelona endured a rough last month in terms of injuries as several important players fell victim to physical issues.
One of the players sidelined with an issue was Fermin Lopez, who suffered a muscle injury late in the match against Getafe.
The update from the club stated that the 22-year-old attacking midfielder would be out of action for three weeks.
Fermin begins on-field work
In a positive update now, Alex Pintanel reports that Fermin Lopez has resumed working on the grass, taking a positive step in his recovery.
As such, the expectation now is that the La Masia graduate will be back in time for Barcelona’s La Liga game against Girona, right after the upcoming international break.

Fermin had been in fine form prior to his injury and had established himself as a starter in the No. 10 role, ahead of Dani Olmo, following impressive displays against Valencia and Newcastle United.
The injury, thus, came as a bitter blow for the youngster, who had turned down a lucrative offer from Chelsea in the summer to continue at Barcelona.
Now, though, Fermin has resumed on-pitch training, even if it is by himself at this point, taking a step forward towards his comeback.
If everything goes according to plan, the attacking midfielder should make his comeback in the Catalan derby against Girona on 18 October.
Prior to his injury, Fermin made five appearances across all competitions, scoring two goals in the process.
