The Bills have an issue that doesn't seem to be going away.
Buffalo Bills glaring problem brought to light ahead of Week 5 vs. Patriots originally appeared on The Sporting News
The Buffalo Bills are 4-0, and have a golden opportunity to all but wrap up the AFC East in Week 5 should they defeat their division rival New England Patriots. The Bills have scored 30 points in all four games thus far, becoming the first team to ever start 4-0 while scoring 30+ points in every game.
While Buffalo has a perfect record, their performances haven't been without flaws. Looking ahead at the immediate and long-term future, Brad Gagnon of Bleacher Report highlights defensive injuries as Buffalo's biggest problem.
"Key defenders Ed Oliver (ankle) and Matt Milano (pec) have both finally returned to practice in limited fashion for the Bills, and their injuries have yet to cost the team in the win column, but you have to nitpick a tad when dealing with a squad that has won three straight games by double-digit-point margins," Gagnon writes. "Keep in mind first-round rookie corner Maxwell Hairston (knee) has also yet to play a snap for the Bills."
The Bills may get Oliver and Milano back for Sunday night, but as Gagnon points out, Hairston is still out, and their secondary is very thin. Perhaps the Bills should explore a trade to aid the young defensive unit.
