Legacy tight end flips from Ohio State to FSU

A Fordham family tradition.

FSU has been no stranger to landing legacy recruits over the past half-decade, with mixed results on the field to date. Today brings news that another legacy has entered the fold for Mike Norvell and the Florida State Seminoles.

2026 3-star tight end Corbyn Fordham has traded the scarlet and gray of Ohio State Buckeyes for the garnet and gold.

Fordham is a 6’4, 215 pound tight end who plays for the Bolles School in Jacksonville, FL. He is considered the 628tg best prospect nationally by 247Sports Composite (33rd best TE, 77th best player in FL). He has three dozen offers from across the country.

Fordham has strong ties to Tallahassee, with his father Todd having suited up for the Seminoles under Bobby Bowden, and his girlfriend currently attending FSU. Part of why he didn’t choose Florida State initially were concerns about the trajectory of the program coming off the dismal 2024 season. FSU’s performance so far this season allayed those concerns.

So far this season, Fordham has 14 grabs for 169 yards and a touchdown. In 2.5 seasons of varsity ball, he’s accumulated 74 receptions for 727 yards and seven touchdowns. He is a utility player who takes pride in blocking. He’ll be a nice compliment to fellow commit Xavier Tiller, who is more of a receiving threat.

Bolles has long been known as a stronghold for teams like the Florida Gators and Georgia Bulldogs, so it’s nice to have a Seminole presence there. Fordham is a teammate of stud 2028 defensive lineman Asher Ghioto, who is a national recruit and also no stranger to Tallahassee.
