“What did you think was gonna happen?”
Right after The Miz turned on Carmelo Hayes, Aleister Black appeared on tonight’s (Oct. 3) episode of SmackDown to accept Sami Zayn’s open challenge for the United States championship.
Before the match even began, I figured Damian Priest had to interfere at the end to screw over his rival. And wouldn’t you know it, that’s pretty close to what happened, if you count a distraction as screwing someone over.
Zayn took advantage of Priest’s distraction with a Helluva Kick, and he went on to retain the gold by pin fall with a Blue Thunder Bomb.
Priest thought his interference was obvious too as he said “What did you think was gonna happen?” to Black’s fallen body. Damian then picked up Black and dropped his ass through the commentary table with a Razor’s Edge. Ouch!
