Pitt State gets the win at home after shutting out Rogers State on the soccer pitch. HIGHLIGHTS HERE:
PITTSBURG, KS. — Pitt State soccer played host to the Rogers State Hillcats at the Gorillas’ soccer pitch.
Abby Hoffman on the ball, she passed it to Carrie Cunningham who took a touch and shot it, but it was off the top of the crossbar.
Hoffman on the ball again, she weaved in and out of defenders and crossed it into the box, Ella Cazzavillan laid it off to Cunningham, but Rogers State’s goalkeeper Jaiden O’Neil made a great save.
On a corner kick, senior Sailor Jensen headed it and it went right under the keeper for a goal, putting Pitt State up 1-0.
Then with two minutes left to go in the first half, Rogers State passed it back to its keeper, but Danae Hobson was there and she got it and shot it for a goal.
For Pitt State’s fourth straight win at home, the Gorillas came out on top with the win over Rogers State 3-0.
