BAXTER SPRINGS, KS — A close battle in Baxter Springs ends in a Columbus Titans victory 15-14 over the hosting Lions.
Baxter Springs was struggling to find an offensive rhythm in the early stages, but Caleb Grant broke the Lions funk off a Cole Parish touchdown pass to take an 8-6 lead.
Columbus continued to claw their way back a few plays later on fourth and long for Baxter Springs, while Titan’s defender Jace Gaither completed a sack to give the visitors possession.
The back-and-forth battle would continue while Columbus snuck by with a 15-14 victory.
