Magomed Ankalaev - Alex Pereira

UFC 320 full card results, schedule for Magomed Ankalaev vs Alex Pereira 2, Merab Dvalishvili vs. Cory Sandhagen originally appeared on The Sporting News

Magomed Ankalaev will look to prove he truly is Alex Pereira’s kryptonite when he defends the UFC light heavyweight title against the latter in a rematch on October 4 at UFC 320. The fight in Las Vegas airs on ESPN+ in the U.S.

When they fought at UFC 313, Ankalaev (20-1-1 1 NC) beat Pereira (12-3) via unanimous decision (49–46, 48–47, 48–47). Pereira stuffed multiple takedown attempts but was outstruck by Ankalaev, a rarity for the former kickboxing champion.

Ankalaev looks to prove he has Pereira figured out, while the latter is ready to show he had an off day, and the best is yet to come from “Poatan.”

"I wasn't feeling well that day, and now I feel much better. I feel much more prepared. I was on my worst day," Pereira said via USA Today, "and that's all he could do.”

"He's (Pereira) an old kickboxer," Magomedov said on UFC Countdown. "He has no speed. Powerful punch? Alex, he has a punch, but not the kind that can really knock you out.”

Meanwhile, Merab Dvalishvili (20-4) attempts to go on a 14-fight win streak when he defends the UFC bantamweight title against fourth-ranked Cory Sandhagen (18-5).

The Sporting News will provide results from the entire UFC 320 fight card.
