The Clemson Tigers have been searching for answers in the first half of the 2025 season. After a 1-3 slide with two consecutive losses, Dabo Swinney's squad got back to business after the bye week.

Clemson took a 35-3 halftime lead over North Carolina on Saturday. Cade Klubnik looked near perfect to start against the Tar Heels with 251 passing yards and four touchdowns. The play of the game so far came on the opening play with a 75-yard touchdown bomb from receiver Anton Williams to T.J. Moore.

For Bill Belichick and UNC, this is the worst start to a game during his short tenure at Chapel Hill. The Tar Heels came off a bye week and look unprepared for a desperate Clemson team. If this pace continues, it could be a bad week ahead with critics wondering if Belichick was the right hire.

UNC came into the game with backup quarterback Max Johnson starting under the center. The son of Super Bowl winner Brad Johnson has struggled, going 11-of-18 for 66 yards. The Tar Heels offense had no third down conversions in the first half as well.

Swinney and the Tigers look back on track. However, will it carry over past today? The second half action between UNC and Clemson can be found on ESPN.
