Sky Sport pundit Jamie Redknapp has revealed he’s been won over by Enzo Fernandez after his performance against Liverpool.
Chelsea recored a well deserved 2-1 win against the defending champions at Stamford Bridge thanks to a last minute winner from Estevao Willian.
Moises Caicedo had given Chelsea the lead with an absolute rocket into the top corner, before Cody Gakpo equalised in the second half, but Estevao’s late goal gave the Blues a first league win since August.
Jamie Redknapp praises Enzo Fernandez
Enzo Maresca fielded a three man midfield with Fernandez pushed into an advanced position and Malo Gusto surprisingly playing alongside Caicedo.
Fernandez turned in an impressive performance, and his off the ball work was particularly impressive, as was what he did on it.

The Argentine hit the post with a late header which he probably should have scored from after a brilliant cross from Estevao,.
However, Fernandez played a brilliant pass into Cucurella who played the ball across the box for Estevao, and Redknapp admitted after the game he’d been won over by the World Cup winner.
“I wasn’t sure about Enzo when he first came in. But when Chelsea didn’t have Cole Palmer today, someone had to step up.
“The pass to the assist is often as important as the assist itself,” he told Sky Sports.
“Enzo’s pass to [Marc] Cucurella was brilliant and I thought he was magnificent today.”
Chelsea midfielder silencing the critics
Fernandez has faced strong criticism since joining Chelsea, but he was brilliant last season, and has again put in some impressive performances at the start of the season.

The Argentina international has three goals and one assist in seven league games so far this campaign, which is a good return from midfield.
Fernandez has been linked with Real Madrid on several occasions, but it’s clear he loves it at Chelsea, and he will be key to the Blues achieving their goals this season.
