The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will not have the services of two of their best offensive players for the Week 5 game against the Seattle Seahawks, as running back Bucky Irving and wide receiver Mike Evans have both been ruled out.

Irving sustained foot and shoulder injuries in the Week 4 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles and did not practice at all this week. Meanwhile, Evans has now missed consecutive games and has yet to practice since sustaining a hamstring issue.

Now, Irving, Evans and the Bucs will turn their attention to Week 6 to see if either player can get back on the field then.

Here's what we know about each players' chances of doing so.

Bucky Irving injury update

During the week, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported that Irving could miss the Week 6 game against the San Francisco 49ers, also.

"Bucs RB Bucky Irving (foot) is expected to miss Sunday’s game vs. Seahawks and is in danger of missing next week vs. 49ers, per source," Fowler wrote.

Not exactly a surprising turn of events considering Irving was wearing a boot and utilizing crutches after suffering the injury last Sunday.

Irving can be considered week-to-week at this point, but the good news is he wasn't placed on injured reserve, which means Tampa Bay believes he can avoid a four-game absence.

With Irving sidelined, Rachaad White is expected to take on a big workload in Tampa Bay's backfield, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports.

Mike Evans injury update

The lack of a practice this week suggests that Evans could miss another game, although that has not been confirmed.

Initially, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported that Evans was expected to miss multiple weeks with his hamstring injury but added the issue isn't as bad as the hamstring injury he had last season that cost him three games.

"Bucs WR Mike Evans is expected to miss multiple weeks because of the hamstring injury he suffered Sunday, sources tell The Insiders. Evans’ hamstring injury isn’t as bad as last year’s, which sidelined him three games," Pelissero wrote. "But he’s expected to be out for a bit."

Week 5 marks the second game Evans will miss, but based on Pelissero's report, there is a chance the veteran returns in Week 6. If not, Week 7 feels like a lock, barring a setback.
