St Helens rugby league team were sent an online threat during the Super League semi-final.

Merseyside Police are investigating the "threating message" sent to the Saints' social media account during the second half of Saturday's match against Hull KR.

The team had a police escort as they left the Craven Park ground in Hull, but the threat was later deemed to be a hoax.

Hull KR won the game 20-12 to set up a rematch of last season's Grand Final against Wigan Warriors.
