New challenger emerges alongside Dante Moore atop Heisman Trophy odds after Week 6

A bye week for the Ducks kept Dante Moore at the top of the Heisman Trophy odds; yet he's now tied with another quarterback.

Coming out of Week 5, Oregon Ducks quarterback Dante Moore had vaulted himself to the top of the Heisman Trophy odds. That's what a 29-for-39, 248-yard, three-touchdown effort on the road against the Penn State Nittany Lions does, after all.

But with the Ducks enjoying their bye week in Week 6, Moore didn't have a chance to bolster his case as the Heisman leader. Another passer did: Miami Hurricanes' Carson Beck, who was the catalyst behind a dominant road victory over the Florida State Seminoles.

In the 28-22 win, which ended up being much closer then expected due to a late Seminoles push, Beck completed 20 of 27 passes for 241 yards and four touchdowns. In a raucous environment, Beck was calm, cool and collected and played nearly flawless football — exactly what Moore did the week prior.

The two have separated themselves atop the Heisman Trophy odds after Week 6, with several challengers still beneath them with plenty of time to give the two quarterbacks a run for their money. Let's check out the updated Heisman odds (per FanDuel Sportsbook) after a wild Week 6.
