Tight end Sam LaPorta was a second-round pick of the Lions in the 2023 NFL draft, from Iowa.
Cincinnati Bengals receiver Ja'Marr Chase and Detroit Lions receiver Jameson Williams swapped jerseys after their NFL Week 5 game at Paycor Stadium, a 37-24 Detroit win.
Chase had six catches for 110 receiving yards with two touchdowns on 10 targets, though much of his production came in "garbage time" during the second half. He also had three tackles, after three Jake Browning interceptions.
Williams, in his fourth NFL season with the Lions, had just one catch for nine yards on one target.
Williams ranked second in the NFL in receiving average (17.3) in 2024. Chase won the receiving triple crown, first in Bengals' history.
