The Braves hold strong atop the latest USA TODAY Sports Super 25, while an Oklahoma power makes a first-time appearance in Week 7.
After two weeks of mayhem in the upper echelons of high school football, Week 6 was relatively calm.
The teams that were expected to take care of business did just that. Starting at the top of the USA TODAY Sports Super 25, No. 1 St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) reaffirmed itself as the best team in the nation by putting up 70 points against JSerra Catholic (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.). It set the tone for the week, in which only one team in the Super 25 lost —a game between Chattanooga, Tennessee rivals, No. 20 Baylor and then-No. 25 McCallie. Baylor won and rose in the rankings; McCallie's loss made the Blue Tornado a one-and-done in the national rankings.
In McCallie's place steps Bixby (Okla.), getting its shine after posting 81 points against its opponent. The Oklahoma powerhouse has gone undefeated in four of the last six seasons and has started this year with a 5-0 record.
