Former Ohio State receivers Emeka Egbuka and Jaxon Smith-Njigba had over 100 receiving yards and a touchdown in the Seahawks-Buccaneers game.
Emeka Egbuka and Jaxon Smith-Njigba had the internet talking while continuing to burnish Ohio State's reputation as "Wide Receiver U."
In their first NFL game against one another, a Week 5 matchup, both former Buckeyes stood out. Egbuka, a rookie on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, finished with a career high of seven receptions and 163 receiving yards, while Seattle Seahawks' top receiver Smith-Njigba finished with eight receptions for 132 yards. Both also had a receiving touchdown.
The Buccaneers won 38-35.

Egbuka and Smith-Njigba played together for two years at Ohio State before the Seahawks took Smith-Njigba with the 20th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. Egbuka was selected by the Buccaneers with the 19th overall pick in the 2025 draft.
The NFL world took notice of the two Buckeyes stars going at it.

Ohio State offensive coordinator Brian Hartline reposted Sherman's message and then added one of his own.

The two former teammates exchanged a hug and a few words after the Buccaneers secured the win.

Former OSU receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. also received some attention over the weekend. He made an impressive, highly contested catch for the Arizona Cardinals against the Tennessee Titans.
