One of the best quarterbacks on the Miami Dolphins roster is probably someone most wouldn't think of.
That's because now, he's a fullback.
Alec Ingold was a high school star as a quarterback, long before he got to the NFL as a grit-and-grind player.
ESPN released a story Monday that speculated on who the best two-way player possibility would be for each NFL team, and Ingold was the pick for the Dolphins.
"Ingold was the Gatorade Player of the Year in Wisconsin as a quarterback for Bay Port High School during his senior year, throwing for 1,384 yards and 16 touchdowns while adding another 2,322 yards and 29 touchdowns on the ground," wrote ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques. "Ingold originally committed to play quarterback for Northern Illinois before flipping to Wisconsin, where he briefly played linebacker before moving to running back/fullback."

So there you have it. Ingold can play quarterback, linebacker and running back.
Obviously, it'd be tougher to pull off at the NFL level, but it's a fun possibility to consider.
Ingold has never been called upon to throw a pass in the NFL. If for nothing else than some smiles, the Dolphins should change that.
He does have 13 career tackles, thanks to some time on special teams.
Mostly, Ingold does the dirty work that doesn't gain much recognition. And that's the way it'll be going forward, too, with his QB days long in the past.
