Barcelona Delivers Its Verdict on Marcus Rashford's Future, But There's a Major Catch

Barcelona have made clear decision regarding the future of English forward Marcus Rashford whose loan from Man United expires in the summer of 2026.

Barcelona impressed but cautious

Rashford joined Barca on one season loan with option to buy for 30 million euro. According to Sport, the Catalan club's pleased with his recent performances and wants to keep him beyond this season.

However the club’s management has no intention of activating the current buyout clause.

Negotiations with Manchester United ahead

Barcelona plan to negotiate reduced transfer fee with Man United or explore the possibility of extending Rashford’s loan for another year. Talks between both clubs are expected to intensify next week depending on the player’s form and United’s stance.

The English forward's become key figure for Flick’s side delivering consistent attacking contributions.

In his last seven matches, Rashford's recorded 7 goal involvements (three goals and 4 assists) making him Barcelona’s most decisive player in that stretch.
