How Oregon Ducks in the NFL performed in Week 5

The Oregon Ducks have a long lineage of players who make it to the next level. Let’s take a look at how the NFL Ducks performed in Week Five.

Every week in college football is a chance for players to prove they belong in college and can take the next step to the NFL. That is the reality of playing in college — every Saturday has the opportunity to make or break your NFL future.

Luckily, the Oregon Ducks don’t typically have to worry about that as they’ve become one of the premiere programs in the nation in recent years. They had 10 players selected to the pros this past April and have been among the college teams with the most players drafted over the last several years.

These players have every role imaginable from faces of the franchises, to stars and role players, showcasing the developmental excellence taking place in Eugene. The Ducks are expected to have another wave of young men enter the draft next year as well, but before they do, let’s take a look at how the current NFL Ducks performed in Week 5.

Franklin had another solid game as he continues to solidify himself as a top target in Denver’s offense.

Game Stats: 6 tackles, 1 PD

The 49ers were able to pull out the win overtime, but it came down to the wire as Lenoir and the rest of the secondary struggled mightily in pass coverage. They gave up nearly 400 passing yards, but Lenoir was strong in the run game.

Terrance Ferguson — Los Angeles Rams

Ferguson didn’t have a tremendous impact, but he did manage to catch his first pass of the season in the Rams’ heartbreaking loss to the 49ers.

DeForest Buckner — Indianapolis Colts

Juwan Johnson — New Orleans Saints

Thibodeaux was not his usual self today and it showed as the Giants allowed the Saints to put up 26 points, their highest total of the season.

Jevon Holland — New York Giants

New York Giants safety Jevon Holland (8) is happy to get called out to the field to during pre-game ceremonies, Sunday, September 21, 2025.

Game Stats: 2 tackles, 1 PD

Holland wasn’t his normal dominant self either, allowing the Saints to score 26 points.

Dillon Gabriel — Cleveland Browns

Cleveland Browns quarterback Dillon Gabriel (8) drops back to pass during the second half against the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium.

Game Stats: 19/33, 190 yards, 2 TD

Game Stats: 4 catches, 59 yards, 1 carry 2 yards

The tiny speedster had his best day as a pro on Sunday. With Mike Evans out for the Buccaneers, they needed a receiver to step up and Johnson was that man this weekend.

Justin Herbert — Los Angeles Chargers

Game Stats: 22/29, 166 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT

Herbert had another rough day as the Chargers dropped their second straight game. He wasn’t the entire reason for the loss, but he also didn’t carry his weight.

Troy Dye — Los Angeles Chargers

Game Stats: 11 tackles, 3 TFL

The Chargers allowed 27 points on defense, but it wasn’t because of Dye, who had one of his best games of the season on Sunday.

Penei Sewell — Detroit Lions

Game Stats: 57 snaps

Sewell didn’t play great today, but he wasn’t bad either. The Lions couldn’t really get the run game going and quarterback Jared Goff was sacked four times. Detroit did put up 37 points, however.

Christian Gonzalez — New England Patriots

Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid makes a catch against New England Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez.

Game Stats: 6 tackles, 1 PD

Gonzalez is working his way back into the fold nicely as he was excellent in coverage and great in the run game.
