Auburn (Ala.) three-star defensive lineman Carnell Jackson was one of the many prospects to immediately decommit from Arkansas following the firing of head coach Sam Pittman.
The 6-foot-2, 315-pounder quickly picked up some new offers this fall and he’s now getting back on the road to find his next home. Jackson tells Rivals’ Sam Spiegelman that he’s locked in three official visits.
It starts this weekend with a trip to Manhattan to see Kansas State. Chris Klieman and the Wildcats are one of Jackson’s new offers. Houston also recently offered and he’ll see the Cougars on Oct. 31. West Virginia will also get an OV on Nov. 8.
On Tuesday, Houston landed a commitment from three-star tight end Jaivion Martin, a former Arkansas commit. Willie Fritz and the Big 12 program could look to also bring Jackson into its 2026 class down the stretch, too.
Jackson is the No. 142 defensive lineman and No. 58 player in Alabama in the 2026 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 58 player in Alabama.
Arkansas has lost double-digit commits this fall, a majority of which left the class in Fayetteville after the firing of Pittman. Despite his ranking, Jackson has clearly drawn Power Four interest. It remains unclear when he’ll come to another college decision. He plays for one of the top high school football programs in Alabama. Auburn is the No. 7 team in the state, per the Massey Ratings.
