How the Chelsea hierarchy reacted to Enzo Maresca’s red card against Liverpool has been revealed by one insider this week.
The Blues boss went nuts after a very late winning goal saw Chelsea beat Liverpool 2-1 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
EXCLUSIVE! Real Madrid readying Enzo Fernandez offer and we can reveal the SIX replacements Chelsea are looking at!
Maresca had been booked for dissent earlier in the game after emotions boiled over, and then he got a yellow card for charging down the line to celebrate the goal with his players in front of the Chelsea fans.
Gary Neville had already told Maresca to calm down over his first outburst that got him booked earlier in the game, complaining about a penalty shout turned down.
But emotions are just part and parcel of the game and Maresca couldn’t help but get involved in the moment in what was a huge win for his Chelsea side in a moment when they really needed it.
But how did the Chelsea board react?

Well, according to reporter Graeme Bailey, they were OK with it!
He told The Chelsea Chronicle:
“Chelsea hierarchy, not that they aren’t taking red cards seriously, they were unfazed by Maresca’s red card.
“They love the passion, they love what it means to him and everything the club coming together.”
It’s all part of the game
I think manager’s should be allowed to go and celebrate with their players in front of their own fans. I think the rule that stops them from doing so is just daft. If you’re taking emotions out of the game then the game is gone in my opinion.
The Ref was just doing his job based off the rules but the rules need to change on this in my view.
