Headlined by former cornerback Kool-Aid McKinstry, Alabama saw multiple players impress during Week 5 of the NFL season.
This past weekend, Alabama football was once again a focal point of the NFL slate.
During Week 5, numerous former Alabama players made an impact at the professional level, headlined by a few of the Crimson Tide's former quarterbacks. Speaking of former Crimson Tide quarterbacks, two faced off in Carolina when the Panthers and Dolphins played, while another received a start this past Thursday night after spending last week as a backup.
In addition to that group, some former Alabama defensive players also enjoyed their best performances of the NFL season during Week 5, headlined by a former star cornerback.
Here are five of the biggest Alabama standouts from Week 5 of the 2025 NFL season.
Tua Tagovailoa, Quarterback - Miami Dolphins
Tagovailoa was arguably Alabama's top performing offensive player in Week 5, despite a 27-24 loss for the Miami Dolphins to the Carolina Panthers. The former Alabama signal caller completed 27-of-36 passes for 256 yards with three touchdowns, an 80.4 QBR, and a 122 passer rating, while also rushing for five yards on one attempt.
Kool-Aid McKinstry, Cornerback - New Orleans Saints
McKinstry was among Alabama's top Week 5 standouts, posting what was likely one of the top performances of his young NFL career in a 26-14 win for the New Orleans Saints over the New York Giants. The cornerback finished with four tackles, three of which were solo, along with three passes defensed and two interceptions.
Mac Jones, Quarterback - San Francisco 49ers
Jones drew the start at quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers last Thursday night against the Los Angeles Rams, and certainly made the most of his opportunity once again.
