Striker Nick Woltemade trained individually on Wednesday after his delayed arrival at Germany's training camp for World Cup qualifiers against Luxembourg and Northern Ireland.

Newcastle United's Woltemade joined the squad in Herzogenaurach, Bavaria on Tuesday evening, a day later than planned. He was initially unable to travel due to a flu.

For now, he won't train with the team and it's unclear whether he will be available for the match against Luxembourg on Friday.

Goalkeeper Oliver Baumann, meanwhile, is expected to be fit to play. The Hoffenheim player completed a special training with the other keepers after he complained of nausea after his arrival and missed Tuesday training.

Baumann is first choice in the injury-related absence of Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

VfB Stuttgart forward Jamie Leweling, however, was absent from training due to adductor issues. The German Football Federation said on Tuesday that Brentford's Kevin Schade was nominated to the squad as a precaution in case Leweling was not available.

Following the match against Luxembourg in Sinsheim, Germany visit Northern Ireland on Monday.

Germany are three points behind leaders Slovakia in Group A, having lost their opener 2-0 in Slovakia.

Only the group winner qualifies directly to the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada, but Germany are at least secured a play-off spot due to their Nations League rankings.
