The Cleveland Browns decided to make a notable move by trading away quarterback Joe Flacco to the Cincinnati Bengals. After Dillon Gabriel didn't look terrible in the Browns' loss to the Minnesota Vikings in London, Cleveland decided it was time to move on from the aging Flacco.

That trade paves the way for quarterback Shedeur Sanders to potentially get snaps as Cleveland's signal caller if Gabriel either slips in performance or gets injured. The Browns did punt four times in the fourth quarter of that game against the Vikings.

Shedeur Sanders reacts to Joe Flacco's trade

Sheduer Sanders is pretty confident in his ability, already being on record saying he thinks he can perform better than most rookies.

Here is what Sheduer Sanders had to say after the trade to Fox 8 in Cleveland:

"He was definitely somebody I leaned on for wisdom, and I feel he helped me a lot," he told reporters on Tuesday.

"I’m just happy for him."

Sanders did acknowledge that he spoke to Flacco after the trade to wish him the best of luck.

The Browns' quarterback room is now one of the youngest groups in the NFL. Bailey Zappe is now the veteran presence, but he's on the practice squad.

The Browns are on the road this Sunday, taking on the Pittsburgh Steelers.
