Sometimes, change is as good as a holiday, and for Dallas Cowboys receiver George Pickens, he's enjoying his time under Brian Schottenheimer.
Why? Well, he's off to a blistering start as a Cowboy, already equaling his career-high for touchdown receptions (five), and we are only five games into the year. Is 17 touchdowns on the cards? Likely not, but that's the pace Pickens is on.
To go with his five touchdowns, George is also leading the Cowboys in yards (357) as he has picked up the slack with CeeDee Lamb sidelined, posting 134 and then 57 yards to go with his three touchdowns in the last two games.
But don't stress, he isn't getting ahead of himself.
“I'll probably say just one day at a time,” Pickens said on his mindset. “Most definitely, the guys, Dak [Prescott], young O-line stepping up because it's my first year, so they definitely helping me out as well.”

Pickens enjoying squashing Steelers "narrative"
When the trade was announced, many were concerned about the supposed issues Pickens had on the field, with his fiery personality often getting him into trouble and leading to his team being penalized for his actions.
But all offseason, we heard that once you get to know George, he's nothing like the person he was being portrayed as.
And aside from that one penalty against the Philadelphia Eagles, where he gave away 15 yards, he's been a model citizen for the Cowboys...oh, and he's been cooking with Dak Prescott too.
Pickens is proving the doubters wrong, and the reason you can't hear them right now is that they are too busy eating humble pie.
