Real Madrid’s new signings have adapted fairly well to the club’s dynamics so far, some better than others but none really looking out of place in any capacity.

Alvaro Carreras and Dean Huijsen have been the two most successfully integrated signings while Trent Alexander-Arnold has found it relatively more difficult.

Franco Mastantuono, has been the real surprise given his age and how he is making a strong case to be a regular starter for the team despite still being in his teens.

Mastantuono speaks to the media

Speaking to ESPN Argentina during the ongoing international break, the Real Madrid youngster was asked to name three players in the game who impressed him.

His response included two compatriots and one club teammate.

“Three players who impressed me? First Leo [Messi]. Then, Jude Bellingham, is a great player who really stands out in training.

And Julian [Alvarez]. I had to suffer against him in the last game.”

The youngster then opened up on Kylian Mbappe and how the World Cup winner was very supportive of him in the dressing room and even showered praise on his talent.

“Kylian Mbappe? He welcomed me very well. He’s an incredible player and a really nice guy who treats me very well.”

Finally, he was asked if he spoke to Mbappe about the last FIFA World Cup final where Argentina beat France in a thrilling encounter despite the Real Madrid star scoring a hat-trick.

“Did I speak to him about the final? No. But there’s a lot of general football talk in our Real Madrid locker room.”

So far this season, Mastantuono has made five league starts for Real Madrid and has seven appearances. In that duration, he has scored one goal and averages 0.7 key passes per game.
