The Pittsburgh Steelers and New England Patriots could both use help at wide receiver and that has led to an analyst labeling both teams as a potential trade suitor for New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave.

Olave's talent is undeniable after he posted two 1,000-yard seasons over his first two years in the NFL despite having a lackluster quarterback situation.
Olave has been slowed by concussions during his career, but he's healthy in 2025 and is yet again stuck in a bad situation on a New Orleans team that is 1-4 and going nowhere fast. Olave has 244 receiving yards and a score in five games.
A rumor recently surfaced from Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football that teams around the NFL think the Saints might be amenable to dealing some of their assets, which has led to Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox labeling Olave as a trade candidate.
And, he believes the and could be possible trade partners for the Saints if Olave hits the trade block. A conditional 2026 first-round pick was floated by Knox as a possible return for Olave.
If the Saints are looking to cash in veteran talent as part of their rebuild, wideout Chris Olave would likely be their top trade chip.
The 25-year-old has two 1,000-yard seasons on his resume and appears to again be healthy after injuries limited him to eight games in 2024.
Olave has started all five contests this year and caught 33 passes for 244 yards and a touchdown.
Potential Suitors: New England Patriots, Pittsburgh Steelers
The Patriots already have a solid No. 1 wideout in Stefon Diggs, but he's also 31 years old and doesn't figure to be in New England's long-term plans.
Adding to that, it certainly wouldn't hurt to add another talented wideout for Drake Maye to put him in a better position to succeed.
Not only would Olave bolster Maye's group of pass-catchers now, he's also under contract in 2026 thanks to the fifth-year option, so he could provide New England with a long-term No. 1 option in the passing game.
In Pittsburgh, the Steelers entered the year with a shaky situation at wide receiver, with the team sporting DK Metcalf and not much else. The reality of how short the Steelers are at wide receiver is even more prominent with Calvin Austin's status up in the air due to injury.
We completely agree with Knox that the Steelers and Patriots could come calling for Olave if he hits the trade block, although we think even a conditional first-rounder is probably too high of a price. A second-rounder feels more likely.
