Lakeview storms back for thrilling first win

Despite trailing 21-0 in the first quarter, the Sailors exploded for 46 points the rest of the way in the win.

STONEBORO, Pa. (WKBN) – Lakeview overcame an early three-score deficit to rally for a 46-41 win over Cochranton on Thursday night.

Trailing 21-0 early in the second quarter, the Sailors’ offense got cooking with a 77-yard touchdown strike from Owen Reynolds to Julian Zacherl.

That duo would catch fire the rest of the way, with Zacherl finishing with an eye-popping 231 receiving yards and four scores while Reynolds tossed for 253 passing yards with five TDs.

On the ground, Remington Marsh rushed for 62 yards while Gavin Schell also posted 62 yards and added a touchdown run.

Lakeview came all the way back to lead 30-27 at halftime before scoring another 16 unanswered points to take a commanding 46-27 lead.

With the win, the Sailors improve to 1-7 on the season after picking up their first win in memorable fashion. Lakeview hits the road next Friday, Oct. 17, to take on Cambridge Springs.
