Tyrell Malacia is destined to leave Manchester United at the end of the season.
The 26-year-old was one of the five members of the infamous ‘bomb squad’ who were told to find new clubs in the summer.
But he ended up staying at Old Trafford after a deadline day move to Spanish side Elche collapsed.
Malacia also blocked a transfer to Eyupspor despite United reaching a loan agreement with the Turkish club.
The other four players – Marcus Rashford, Antony, Jadon Sancho and Alejandro Garnacho – have completed either temporary or permanent exits from the Manchester club.
Malacia has recently been integrated back into Ruben Amorim’s squad, but Fabrizio Romano claims he will leave the club ‘for sure’ in 2026.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, he said: “Tyrell Malacia, despite returning to training with the first team of Manchester United after a crazy window where he had several opportunities, Tyrell Malacia is not going to sign any new contract at Man United, and in any case, will leave the club for sure, 100% in 2026.”
Malacia joined United from Feyenoord in a deal worth around £15 million in 2022.
He made 39 appearances across all competitions in his debut campaign at Old Trafford, but his progress was severely hampered by a horrific knee injury that kept him out for over a year.
Malacia was later sent out on loan to PSV Eindhoven last January, where he played 12 times for the Dutch outfit.
His contract at United will expire in the summer of 2026 and it appears the club have no intention to extend his deal.
Malacia is currently behind Patrick Dorgu and Diego Leon in the left wingback pecking order.
With no European football or Carabao Cup on the schedule, the Netherlands international is unlikely to get first-team action at United.
