As expected, the designated wide receiver Christian Watson to return from the PUP list this week and the hope was that he would be able to play immediately.

Watson successfully recovered from a torn ACL suffered in January and his return is now inevitable. However, until the Packers activate him to the 53-man roster, there's no guarantee Watson will suit up this week.

Christian Watson injury update

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that Watson looked "pretty damn good" at practice this week but confirmed he would not make his debut on Sunday, The Athletic's Matt Schneidman reported.

Based on LaFleur's comment and the fact that Watson was able to log at least two limited practices this week, his prospects of playing in Week 7 are looking good.

The Packers could certainly use the veteran wide receiver, as the team is already missing Jayden Reed for an extended period of time due to injury.

In Watson, the Packers are getting back a receiver who has a pair of 600-yard seasons under his belt. He adds to an already crowded Packers wide receivers room, although that's a good problem to have.

It has been a group effort in Green Bay.

Guys like Tucker Kraft, Romeo Doubs, Matthew Golden and Dontayvion Wicks have all chipped-in for Jordan Love and the Packers will need them to do so again this week.
