The draws are set for the Sixth and Seventh Region boys and girls soccer tournaments, with champions advancing to the state tournaments.
The Trinity High School and St. Xavier boys soccer teams drew on the same side of the bracket for the Seventh Region Tournament and could meet in the semifinals.
Draws for the Seventh Region boys and girls soccer tournaments were held Friday morning.
The Seventh Region boys tournament features four teams ranked among the state’s top 25 by RundellRankings.com – No. 2 Trinity, No. 3 St. Xavier, No. 5 Collegiate and No. 21 Ballard.
Collegiate won the Seventh Region title last year on its way to finishing as the state runner-up.
The Seventh Region girls tournament will include three teams in the final top 25 coaches poll – No. 2 Sacred Heart, No. 6 Assumption and No. 19 Manual.
Sacred Heart is the defending Seventh Region and state champion.
District tournament champions will host quarterfinals of the regional tournaments. Semifinals and finals will be played at Waggener.
The Sixth Region’s super-regional tournaments will resume Saturday with boys quarterfinals and Monday with girls semifinals.
