In a recent segment on Youtube, Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola stated that Tottenham Hotspur are keeping a keen eye on Vasco da Gama winger Rayan. It has been claimed that Spurs would have to rival Aston Villa, Barcelona, Chelsea, Brighton and Hove Albion, Porto, Fiorentina and Nottingham Forest in the race to land the Brazilian prospect next year.
Rayan’s Impressive Rise In Brazilian Football
Rayan had a productive campaign at the Brazilian club as he put in a string of impressive displays for them in the final third. The 19-year-old found the back of the net 14 times and earned one assist in 44 matches for Vasco da Gama last season in multiple competitions.
The talented teenager has caught the eye with his performances on the right flank and is currently among the best young wingers in Brazilian football. Thus, it is no surprise that Spurs are among the clubs hoping to land him next year.
His current contract at the Brazilian club will run out at the end of next year, which could open the door for Tottenham to snap him up on the cheap this January or at the end of this campaign.

Tottenham Hotspur Are Keeping A Keen Eye On Rayan: Is He A Star In The Making?
Rayan excels at finding a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He can shoot the ball with power from long range and has got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates in the final third.
The Brazilian talent is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and has already added a lot of goals to his game. However, he is still unproven at the highest level and would need time to prove his worth in the Premier League if Spurs manage to get a deal done for him next year.
Rayan would undoubtedly inject more quality into Tottenham head coach Thomas Frank’s frontline in the long run. He is already good enough to serve as a decent rotational piece in the North London club’s squad.
At 19, Rayan has got the potential to be a world-class player in his position someday. He is a star in the making, so Spurs would be wise to step up their efforts to sign him.
