Did Rutgers get healthier at bye week before Washington? Availability report

Rutgers (3-2, 0-2) faces Washington (4-1, 1-1) in Seattle on Friday.

SEATTLE — Rutgers rested up during the bye week, but it did not get much healthier.

The Scarlet Knights (3-2, 0-2) have 19 players listed as out in their mandatory pregame availability report ahead of Friday night’s game against Washington (4-1, 1-1) at Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium.

While some names have changed, it is the same number of players that Rutgers was without against Minnesota 13 days earlier. No names were added to the list of 11 players who were already listed as out for the season entering the bye week.

Two players — running back Samuel Brown and wide receiver Jourdin Houston — are listed as questionable.

Still, the Scarlet Knights will look to take advantage of their extra week of preparation to pull off an upset over the Huskies.

Rutgers is 13-6 coming off a bye week across its two stints under head coach Greg Schiano, including victories last season over Virginia Tech and the Golden Gophers.

Will that be enough to overcome an incredible home-field advantage for Washington, which has won 22 of its last 23 home games?
