Joel Klatt releases his top 10 college football rankings for Week 7

Fox Sports analyst Joel Klatt released his top 10 college football rankings before Week 7 of the 2025 season

Fox Sports analyst Joel Klatt released his top 10 rankings, and with several major upsets in Week 6, Klatt shuffled his ranking almost entirely.

Klatt dropped the Georgia Bulldogs down to the No. 9 ranking. A lot has changed for the Georgia Bulldogs since they were ranked No. 3 in his top 10. Georgia suffered a gut-wrenching loss against the Alabama Crimson Tide in Week 5, whom Klatt placed No. 7 on the list. Week 6 was much kinder to Georgia, with the Bulldogs soundly beating the Kentucky Wildcats 35-14.

"We know that Georgia has some flaws," says Klatt, "We also know that they are potent and that they can beat anybody."

Many gears have shifted in Klatt's rankings since Week 5. Penn State, Florida State, LSU, and Texas have all fallen out of the rankings. While LSU lost to Ole Miss Week 5, all the other three teams have two losses.

Penn State was defeated by Big Ten paperweight UCLA, who had just fired their head coach and coordinators. Texas dropped a game on the road to the Florida Gators. Florida State fell to both Virginia and Miami, who is No. 3 on Joel Klatt's rankings.

Replacing those four teams are the Texas Tech Red Raiders (No. 8), who are currently the top dogs of the Big 12, the Alabama Crimson Tide (No. 7), who claimed victory against Georgia, the Ole Miss Rebels (No. 5), who remain undefeated and with the best record in the SEC, and the Texas A&M Aggies (No. 4), who seem to have much more upside than the 8-4 seasons Aggies fans are accustomed to.
