Jersey Bulls suffered their first-ever eighth tier defeat as they went down 2-1 at Sheppey United in Isthmian League South East.

Bulls should have taken the lead in the first quarter of a goalless opening period as Lorne Bickley was thwarted by a good save before Toby Ritzema blasted over with the goal gaping.

Bickley and James Queree went close three minutes after the restart before Dieko Falade gave the hosts a 50th-minute lead.

But Queree got on the scoresheet from the penalty spot nine minutes later after Ritzema had been fouled in the box.

Both sides had efforts to try and take all three points, but just as Bulls thought they would get another away point Julien Anau broke their hearts with a winner in the second minute of stoppage time.
