Watch LSU football defense force early turnover to set Tigers offense up in red zone

LSU football took an early lead against South Carolina when the defense forced this turnover inside the Gamecocks' red zone.

After a punt on LSU's opening drive against South Carolina, the Tigers defense was quick to make up for lost time.

On the Gamecocks' first offensive play, quarterback LaNorris Sellers was caught off guard by a bad snap. With the ball loose, senior edge rusher Patrick Payton fell on it to set LSU up inside the South Carolina red zone.

The Tigers offense capitalized on the field position, as four plays later, senior kicker Damian Ramos made a 28-yard field goal to give LSU the lead and score the game's first points.

The Tigers lead the Gamecocks in the first quarter, 3-0.
