Algeria A’ team: Madjid Bougherra releases a key squad member

As part of its preparations for the 2025 FIFA Arab Cup, which will be held in Qatar from December 1st to 18th, the Algeria A’ national team is continuing its program with a double friendly clash against Palestine. These matches will provide the coach with a valuable opportunity to thoroughly assess several players before finalizing his squad list for the tournament.

The technical staff has set up a meticulous preparation, structured around three training sessions this Friday. The starters from Thursday’s friendly first took part in a gym session in the morning, followed by recovery work in the gym and pool in the afternoon. The rest of the group participated in a full training session in the evening on the auxiliary pitch of the 19 May 1956 Stadium.

It should be noted that central defender Ayoub Ghezala was allowed to leave the camp for family reasons. This phase of preparation is intended to fine-tune the final details before a tournament in which Algeria aims to shine and defend its title after its 2021 triumph.
