This week's nominees are from Central Linn, Marist Catholic, South Eugene, Pleasant Hill, Sheldon, Springfield and Willamette.
As the fall sports postseason inches closer, athletes throughout the Eugene-Springfield area have continued to deliver outstanding performances.
This week's nominees for The Register-Guard girls Athlete of the Week are:

Kegan De Lee, Marist Catholic volleyball
Marist Catholic senior libero Kegan De Lee tallied 20 digs and an ace Oct. 8 to lead the Class 4A No. 1 Spartans to a 25-13, 25-15, 25-23 home win over No. 8 Cottage Grove.
Eleanora Diment, South Eugene cross-country
South Eugene freshman Eleanora Diment ran a 5,000-meter personal-best time of 19 minutes, 46.97 seconds Oct. 4 and finished 23rd at The Harrier Classic in Albany.
Sawyer Hanley, South Eugene volleyball
South Eugene sophomore outside hitter Sawyer Henley had a .359 hitting percentage on 39 attempts Oct. 6 at South Medford and a .448 hitting percentage on 29 attempts Oct. 9 at home against North Medford in a pair of wins.
Jayne Neal, Central Linn soccer
Central Linn senior midfielder Jayne Neal scored the lone goal Oct. 7 in the Class 3A/2A/1A No. 2 Cobras' road win over Pleasant Hill.
Evie Olds, Marist Catholic soccer
Marist Catholic freshman forward Evie Olds scored two goals Oct. 8 to help the Class 4A No. 1 Spartans to a 9-1 home win over North Bend.
Four days earlier, Olds scored a goal and contributed an assist during Marist Catholic's 8-0 road win over Junction City.
Riley Owens, Willamette soccer
Willamette sophomore defender Riley Owens delivered an assist for a goal from a set piece and played a major role in helping the Wolverines to an Oct. 10 comeback win over North Medford.
"She gave us a spark, which helped us overcome a 0-2 deficit to win 3-2," Willamette coach Christine Guldager said.
Trinity Smead, Pleasant Hill soccer
Pleasant Hill senior midfielder Trinity Smead scored a match-winning penalty Oct. 9 to lead the Billies to a 2-1 road win over Siuslaw.
Earlier in the match, Smead provided an assist to Kaylee Gardner.
Nia Tuioti, Sheldon volleyball
Sheldon freshman Nia Tuioti racked up 24 assists and four aces Oct. 7 to help the Irish to a 3-0 win at Grants Pass.
Two days later in a 3-0 home win over Willamette, Tuioti tallied 25 assists and two aces.
Bella Wells, Springfield cross-country
Springfield sophomore Bella Wells ran a 5,000-meter personal-best time of 18:56.3 Oct. 10 and placed third at the Champoeg Invitational.
Wells' time is the 16th-fastest in the state this season among Class 5A girls.
