The Browns and Raiders are two teams who need better quarterback play, and there could be an interesting veteran on the market.

We are now in Week 6 of the NFL season, and by now, we have a good idea of what teams will be buyers and sellers at the trade deadline.
For example, it's a guarantee that teams like the , , and will be looking to add talent. Meanwhile, teams like the Tennessee Titans, , and will likely be looking to sell off whatever talent they can.
However, there's one team that may not be a "seller" per se, but could still look to move on from a veteran. The shockingly dominated the Eagles on Thursday Night Football, and much of that performance can be attributed to rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart.
Dart replaced Russell Wilson as the starting quarterback for the Giants at the end of September. Since taking over, Dart has led the Giants to a 2-1 record, and as a result, the team could try and trade away Wilson.
Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report recently identified landing spots for the top trade candidates, including Wilson. For the veteran quarterback, Knox identified the and as ideal partners.
As far as compensation goes, Knox thinks the Giants could fetch a conditional sixth-round pick. Considering Wilson is clearly not in the team's plans, it would be worth it to try and get what they can.
Regarding a Wilson deal, Knox offered the following:
The primary reason Wilson might draw interest? He's cheap. With a base salary of just $2 million, he would be a budget alternative for any team currently getting poor quarterback play or in need of a veteran mentor.
He will also remain the most sensible QB target if and when another starter goes down with a long-term injury.
As Knox mentioned, Wilson is on a cheap deal and wouldn't cost much to acquire.
The Browns are probably the most interesting fit for Wilson. The Browns have already traded away two quarterbacks in the last several months, shipping out Kenny Pickett before Week 1 and sending Joe Flacco away just this week.
That leaves the team with two rookies- Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders- as the only passers on the roster. Obviously, the team will want to see if Gabriel or Sanders are the quarterback of the future, but having a veteran presence like Wilson around could do wonders down the stretch,
For the Raiders, Wilson could provide insurance for Geno Smith. Smith was just acquired and given a large extension this offseason, but he currently leads the league in interceptions.
Pickett is Smith's backup, but he's never shown much to make the team think he can start. Wilson has had plenty of success in the past and may thrive under Pete Carroll once again.
