Rams turn it on in the second half to beat Ravens, 17-3: Instant analysis of Week 6 win

The Rams had a tough first half, but turned it on in the third quarter to beat the Ravens. Here's a recap of what happened at M&T Bank Stadium.

The Los Angeles Rams traveled across the country for a Week 6 battle with the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium, and Sean McVay's team walked out with a 17-3 victory over the Lamar Jackson-less Ravens.

Los Angeles looked lost in the first half, as quarterback Matthew Stafford was inaccurate on a few of his passes and his receivers dropped some passes to make things worse. On the other side of the ball, the Rams' front got called for offsides multiple times, as they were drawn off by Cooper Rush's hard counts.

On top of those issues, the Rams also lost Puka Nacua due to injury in the second quarter and watched kicker Joshua Karty doink a field goal off the right upright.

Things got much better for Los Angeles in the third quarter, as Kyren Williams and Tyler Higbee both found the end zone, and the Rams forced and recovered fumbles on Baltimore's two drives in the third quarter.

That one quarter was enough to secure the win for Los Angeles, as the Rams turned the ball over on downs and punted on their two drives in the final frame.

Final score: Rams 17, Ravens 3

Rams vs. Ravens scoring plays

It was over when...

... Rush couldn't successfully get the jet sweep to wide receiver Zay Flowers, and Rams defensive lineman Tyler Davis recovered. After that, Baltimore would've had to score twice and keep Los Angeles from scoring in one quarter.

  1. Nate Landman: 17 tackles, 1 forced fumble
  2. Quentin Lake: 6 tackles, 1 INT, 1 fumble recovery
  3. Kyren Williams: 13 carries, 50 rushing yards, 1 TD, 2 receptions, 37 yards

Play of the game:

Los Angeles was desperate for a touchdown in the third quarter, and on fourth-and-2 from Baltimore's 33-yard line, Stafford found Williams for a 30-yard reception, which set up Williams' three-yard touchdown run.

After this win, the Rams will take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in London next Sunday before a much-needed week off.
