Matt Law admits to getting frustrated after talking to Enzo Maresca recently

The Telegraph reporter Matt Law admits that he gets frustrated after talking to Enzo Maresca lately regarding one issue.

Domestic football seems a distant memory whenever we are in another bland international break, and that’s exactly where we are right now. But it will be back again at the weekend and we can look forward to seeing the Chelsea side back out on the pitch again.

We can reflect on recent games until then though, and in recent games, Chelsea have gathered up a lot of cards, even some red cards too. It has sparked talk of Enzo Maresca’s side having a disciplinary problem, and that has been one of the subjects of this latest international breaks.

So, do Chelsea have a disciplinary problem? Matt Law believes they do, but Enzo Maresca does not!

The journalist was speaking on The London is Blue Podcast last week and he said:

“I get frustrated whenever we try and talk to Maresca and he just says there’s no disciplinary problem. Well, there is. If you look at the table of yellow cards… there is a disciplinary issue & they do need to get on top of it.”

I guess factually you can say this is correct, but context is important. It’s probably more mistakes rather than Chelsea players losing their heads or being too aggressive. So you can say it’s a maturity or lack of concentration issue really. But it’s up for debate.
