The hits keep coming for the New York Jets.

ESPN's Jets insider Rich Cimini is reporting that wide receiver Garrett Wilson may miss time with a knee injury suffered against the Denver Broncos on Sunday.

Without Wilson, New York does not have much in the receiver department, with veterans Josh Reynolds, Tyler Johnson, Allen Lazard, and rookie Arian Smith expected to fill in.

Garrett Wilson could miss games with a knee injury

"WR Garrett Wilson underwent an MRI today and appears to have avoided a serious knee injury, per source, but it probably still means some down time," wrote Cimini in a post on X.

"Worth noting that the #Jets have two more games (CAR, at CIN) before their bye. Perhaps that factors into the timetable."

Cimini is implying the Jets could use the next three weeks to allow Wilson some time to recover, with the Carolina Panthers and Cincinnati Bengals on deck.

So far in 2025, the former Ohio State star has put up some great numbers with 36 receptions for 395 yards and four touchdowns.

The next highest leading wideout for the Jets is Reynolds, with eight catches for 72 yards.

Expect New York to lean heavily on rookie tight end Mason Taylor, who has 21 catches for 177 yards, and dual-threat running back Breece Hall, who is always a threat in the passing game.

Outside of those two playmakers, though, there isn't much else for quarterback Justin Fields to work with through the air. If Wilson does indeed miss time with injury, the Jets offense could look worse than the product we saw on the field Sunday.
