ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – A pair of big games highlighted the night’s slate in high school soccer.

The Elmira girls soccer team fell short against #11 Ithaca in a special game. On Monday night, the Lil’ Red outlasted the Express with a 2nd half goal from Kathleen Herman. Despite the setback, both sides came together for a greater cause, celebrating Elmira’s 15th annual “Pink Out” game.

For the 3rd-straight season, the Express teamed up with the Women In Pink Foundation (WINK), supporting women battling breast cancer. WINK is also affiliated with the Josh Palmer Fund.

In Section V, the 4th ranked Hornell boys rocked Rochester Prep to close out the regular season. The Red Raiders 8-0 victory improves them to (14-0-2) heading into the postseason.
